Amazon.com Product Description
The Paslode F-350S PowerMaster Plus 30-Degree Framing Nailer is a reliable workhorse that no jobsite should be without. Offering an unmatched combination of power, comfort, and durability, this heavy-duty pneumatic nailer is the perfect tool for framers, general contractors, custom homebuilders, and remodelers. Delivering more than 10% more power-per-pound than the competition, the PowerMaster Plus easily drives nails through engineered lumber, so it will make short work of everything from framing and sheathing to fence and deck construction.

The F-350S PowerMaster Plus 30-Degree Framing Nailer
At a Glance:
  • Drives 2" to 3-1/2" 30-degree nails into tough lumber
  • Compact size fits between 16" studs, joists, and rafters
  • On-tool depth of drive adjustment
  • Balanced for premium performance
  • 1-year limited warranty on housing and cap parts

Center of gravity is close to the trigger for optimal balance.

Compact size easily fits between 16" joists, rafters,
and on-center studs.
Professional-Grade Tool Simplifies Framing Jobs
Ideal for professional framing work, the PowerMaster Plus drives 2" to 3-1/2" 30-degree clipped and full-head papertape nails with .113" - .131" diameters in engineered lumber, so you can handle decking, sub-assembly blocking, sheathing, and trussing of all types. And when you're tackling a big job, you'll be grateful for the PowerMaster Plus's high-capacity one-piece aluminum magazine, which holds up to 84 nails (two strips).

Sequential Operation for Greater Efficiency
With the PowerMaster Plus you can choose either manual or sequential operation and drive up to 12 nails per second--the barrel-shaped nose will ensure an easy line of sight when nailing. To keep things simple, a durable work contact element adjusts on the tool--not the compressor--for precise depth of drive, so you'll be sure to get the right depth for the job. To top it off, the contact element is specially designed to securely grip wood during toenailing.

Big Power in a Compact Package
Weighing just 8.4 pounds and operating at 80-120 psi (5.5-8.3 bar), the PowerMaster Plus delivers over 10% more power per pound than the competition. Offering all the muscle you need to drive through engineered lumber. This tool is surprisingly easy to handle.

To save you time and energy, the PowerMaster Plus features an ergonomic design that places the center of gravity close to the trigger, providing optimal balance and the lowest recoil of a tool of its size. And with a soft-grip handle, it's comfortable to hold, even during all-day jobs.

Incredibly compact, the PowerMaster Plus has a height of just 13.3", so it will easily fit between 16" joists, rafters, and on-center studs. A rafter hook--which is located on the magazine and can be moved out of the way when it's not needed--makes it easy to hang the PowerMaster Plus on your tool belt, ladder, or rafter.

For further ease of use, this pneumatic nailer features an adjustable air-deflector cap and a main valve that improves airflow and performance over a wide range of operating conditions. A bolt-on-end plug makes for quick service and secure compressor attachments.

The PowerMaster Plus is backed by a 90-day limited warranty on wear parts, a six-month limited warranty on magazine parts, and a one-year limited warranty on housing and cap parts.

[4 Stars]: Good as what it's replacing?
This is a replacement for an older, fire damaged Paslode framer I've had for fifteen years or so, and that one only has had one internal seal rebuild in all that time. The 350 appears lighter than the old one and has a more comfortable, rubberized grip. NOT included is the air hose coupler barb, and for a coupla pennies, Paslode could have included the allen wrench for the depth-of-drive adjustment. Also noticed that a full stick of nails won't fit into the magazine without yanking the follower back further than its latched position. Just a nit; have only shot a few fastners so far, and it does what it's supposed to.
Oops...my bad. Upon closer inspection, Paslode DID indeed include the allen wrench, nicely tucked away in the handle of the tool. Perfecto.

[5 Stars]: one of the best nailers
I work on a framing crew of a couple guys. We have tried several different brands of nail guns- hitachi, dewalt, and others, but this has been the gun we all agree is the best. Some brands may be slightly lighter, but with the rafter hook, round head capacity and power that this has it's a winner. We push our tools, and other brands couldn't take it- my gun has been going 3 1/2 years, and aside from from a few minor repairs it has run well.

[4 Stars]: Accepts round head nails
I thought it was important to mention this nailer can accept round head nails (Paslode Roundrive 30 degree fasteners). After researching different nailers, I came across the issue of building codes in different parts of the country either not allowing clipped head nails, or trending in that direction. Not being a professional, I don't know if this is old news, as I didn't notice any clipped head nails in stock at Lowe's in Charleston, SC. I didn't look too hard though. I also didn't find any 22 degree Porter Cable nails for the FR350A. If they had them, they didn't have many.

Anyway, I had my mind made up to buy the PC FR350A even though I didn't like the plastic collated nails & always considered the Paslode to be about the best, but when I saw the Paslode could use the round nails (found in abundance at Lowe's) I spent the extra money on it. I've used an old beat up one before, working with a contractor, and it was rugged and reliable. I just wish it had some of the features of the less expensive Porter Cable, such as the carrying case, tool-free adjustable exhaust and tool-free adjustable depth of drive.
