At a mere 4.9 pounds (with battery), the nailer is easy on the arms.
Cordless Design for Flexibility on the Job
With the 901000 Fuel-Powered Cordless Brad Nailer, you'll never have to worry about dragging around annoying cords, dirty hoses, or bulky compressors. Instead, you'll get the portability and flexibility you need to move around the jobsite and finish hard-to-reach areas--without the mess and clutter of a pneumatic tool. And because you won't need to set up or break down, you'll save both time and labor costs.

Precise Nailing Protects Furniture
Ideal for fine decorative trim work, the powerful 901000 Fuel-Powered Cordless Brad Nailer drives 5/8" to 2" 18-gauge chisel-point brad nails in even the hardest woods, so you can handle cabinetry, spindles, and fine materials of all types. And when you're tackling a big job, you'll be grateful for the high-capacity straight-collation magazine, which holds up to 100 nails (two strips).

What's more, this nailer features an open line of sight, no-mar tip, and tool-free adjustable depth of drive to minimize workpiece damage and ensure precise nail placement. For further ease of use, the 901000 provides consistent drive energy in all types of wood, features a 10-nail lockout that prevents blank firing, and comes with a quick-clear nose cover that clears jams in an instant. And because it drives only 18-gauge nails, the 901000 virtually eliminates marring and wood splitting.

Big Power in a Compact Package
The 901000 Fuel-Powered Cordless Brad Nailer uses a patented fuel-plus-battery system to give you exceptional power and performance. The included rechargeable battery will drive 4,000 nails on one charge, while one Short Yellow Trim Fuel Cell (not included) will drive a total of 1,200 nails.

Compact and well-balanced, the 901000 weighs just 4.9 pounds (with battery), so it's easy on the arms. And with a sure-grip handle, it's comfortable to hold, even during all-day jobs. For easy mobility, the 901000 features a reversible belt hook that can be adjusted for right-handed and left-handed use. The belt hook is also great for hanging the 901000 on a ladder when you need both your hands.

The 901000 is backed by a 90-day normal-wear parts warranty and a one-year limited warranty.

[1 Stars]: Good Concept, Lousy Quality-UPDATE
No one wants to drag around a hose and compressor. And, after working with a carpenter who uses 3 of these guns I was very impressed. Although the price was quite high the benefit seemed to outweigh the cost.
Upon receiving the gun it did not work and it was a lot of hazzle to return the defective product for another. So, Paslode repaired it free of charge. It then worked as advertised for perhaps 200 or so brads. Then it quit working again. I took the gun back to the repair shop where they told me the piston was bad! After about 2 weeks I got the gun back. It fired ONE brad perfectly and then stopped working again. Back to the repair shop where they told me it was a wiring issue. After this repair, I got the gun home, fired a few brads and the gun jammed (I was using the correct brads).
The repair shop told me these guns either work or they have lot's of problems. So, it seems I got one of the many duds.
I can't afford to experiment (gamble) with price heavy tools. Therefore, while the Paslode concept is excellent I highly recommed you save your money until someone develops a product that is high quality & dependable(which Paslode is NOT).
UPDATE - December 27, 2009:
I once again started using the gun installing baseboards for a friend. After about 2 racks of nails the gun quit working again. I took it apart for cleaning but this did not help. So, it's back to the repair shop.
There is simply no way I would ever recommend this nailer to anyone given it's high cost and exceptional maintenance needs.

[5 Stars]: Very satisfied
I have this 18 ga and the 16 ga angled nailers. They both have worked flawlessly for over 6 months and a couple thousand nails. I use the 18 exclusively for crown and fine mouldings, and the 16 when there's a few pieces of base or casing. I still keep a compressor and air gun when I have a lot of nailing to do.

[2 Stars]: unsatisfied
Bought this product to make my job easier as a trim carpenter but was not what i expected. Maybe I expected too much but I am the only person that uses my tools and trim work is all I do so I know it was not abused. It worked fine for a while then it became high dollar junk. I finally sold it at a garage sale for 100 dollars and was glad to get rid of it. I bought 2 dewalt 18 volt finish nailers and have shot many boxes of nails with no problems. I feel that paslode let me down
