Tackle the Toughest Nailing Jobs
With an operating pressure of 70 to 120 PSIG, the 42XP is built to perform. It drives both bright and galvanized 15-gauge finish nails from 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches into even the hardest woods, including white oak, making it ideal for interior and exterior trim work, crown molding, base molding, door and window casings, cabinets, chair rails, and hard and soft wood flooring. Boasting magnesium housing, the 42XP is specially made to withstand wear and tear and see even the toughest jobs through to completion.

Experience Precise, Efficient Results
The 42XP features a dial-in depth gauge on the side for convenience, and a variable thumbwheel adjustable depth-of-drive that guarantees precise drives from first drive to last, while a 104-nail capacity keeps you working with fewer interruptions. To help ensure you maintain progress, it also includes an EZ-Clear latch to prevent jams from getting in the way of your work. For additional efficiency, the 42XP also resists misfires and double nailing.

Work in Safety and Comfort
Even though the 42XP is built tough, it has a lightweight construction that makes it easy to handle. The nailer also features a balanced, ergonomic design with a premium custom grip and trigger, helping ensure your comfort and safety while you work.

Protect Your Work Surface
Able to deliver superior results without harming delicate work surfaces or materials, the 42XP boasts Senco's exclusive "NeverLube," which is designed to prevent the mess and damage caused by oil spills. There's also a no-mar pad to protect wood while simultaneously guarding against slipping.

The 42XP measures 4 x 11.5 x 13 inches (WxHxD) and weighs just four pounds. It is backed by a five-year warranty.

[2 Stars]: Item not available
I ordered this item. When the confirmation email came from the seller, it had a different product description then what I ordered. The seller said they do not carry the 42XP. They cancelled my order and refunded my charge (this happened a few minutes ago so I haven't seen the refund yet but I trust that it is happening).

So basically don't order this through Amazon, its just not possible. At least I caught it before they shipped it and they answered the phone and reversed the transaction quickly.

The two star rating is not related to the product, just the fact that the item is not available. I would rather have not put in a rating but Amazon requires that of reviewers.

[5 Stars]: Best yet
My old snII nailer lasted 22 years. No repair parts were avaliable to repair the top end. It was leaking some air. It is still functionable. The new 42XP with its' depth setting is awesome. I enjoy the lighter weight also .This finish gun is the best.I paid $400.00 for the SN II in 1988 the new 42XP was 199.00 at my local Pro-Build Building Supply in Santa Cruz CA Rock on. Doug

[3 Stars]: Senco Bankruptcy: Will there be any parts and service?
I have been considering this Senco gun. This spring, Senco filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and sold off almost all of it's assets. My local tool repair facility told me they are having a very tough time getting parts now and was not confident about the future. Too bad , they made good tools. So just beware. If you purchase a Senco there's no assurance that parts will be available. Many of the more consumer-oriented and Chineese/Taiwanese import brands have very short-lived parts availability. They are meant to be used by homeowners until they break then thrown in landfills. It remains to be seen what happens to Senco long-term. If anyone has updated info, please respond to this.
