The thick rubber guards minimize housing damage. The tool-free depth of drive protects from overdriving nails. The self-cleaning air filter extends life by preventing dirt and debris from entering the tool. Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
This coil roofing nailer is one of seven new heavy-duty air-powered nailers from the venerable Milwaukee, and the whole series is another testament to the red label’s unflagging quality.

At the top of our list is how incredibly light Milwaukee’s nailers are, even fully loaded, and their compact size makes them a cinch to tote and use, especially in awkward positions. But a close second is the clever inclusion of a magnet that holds onto the nails as you’re loading and significantly speeds up the process, reducing fumbling and dropped fasteners. Another big tip of the hat to Milwaukee for incorporating both sequential and bump firing modes, accessible just by turning a knob, so when speed is a need, you’re ready to go, but precision is at your fingertips too. We like the quality built into this tool, from the magnesium housing to the rugged rubber bumper guard that protects your investment should the tool take a fall. The hassle-free replaceable nosepiece has hard-wearing carbide inserts, and there’s even a self-cleaning air filter in the tool handle, keeping dust and dirt out of the tool’s workings – and that means longer tool life. The shingle guide is a handy touch, and we like that it’s easily removed when it’s not needed.

In hand, this nailer feels great: light, comfortable, agile, and beautifully balanced. Loading fasteners is a breeze, depth adjustment is on-the-mark reliable, tool-free, fast and easy, and we couldn’t get the thing to jam. Roofers and contractors will love this nailer. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

[5 Stars]: Good choice
Very light and safe. Works great in continuous fire. No back fire. I've went thru 5-6 boxes of 1 1/2 already.

[5 Stars]: watch out for the dent maker
Nailer worked fine except there are two "ears" on the contact end that make an indent into the roofing. Not sure if this is a design flaw. Got the job done and appears ready for the next one.

[5 Stars]: Glad I bought it
This item has a 5 star rating. The Bostitch equivalent has a 4.5 star rating. I have 3 other Bostitch guns and each of them seem to misfire more often than I would like. This Milwaukee nailer was more expensive by $60.00 but I am so glad after the last 2 days that I splurged and upgraded to it. After roofing for the last two days and one group using this gun and the other one using a rented Bostitch, this Milwaukee gun was hands down the better gun. It never misfired. The only complaint the guys had was that they ran out of nails to quickly. The other brand worked well most of the time but there were about a dozen or so occasions where the nails had to be lined up, or the feed wire needed to be trimmed or something like that. This is by far the best performing nail gun I have ever used.
